INSTRUCTIONS

Congratulations on the purchase of the new model VISION remote start car alarm, with this purchase you have taken a great step forward towards the protection of your investment as well as providing you with peace of mind to the security of your vehicle.

The VÀÅ 318-2800 is the most advanced alarm system with build remote start and anti-hijack function which is controlled by 3 channel code hopping transmitter, more than 14 different attractive functions with simple operations, which protect your vehicle for safety and security.

The following pages include Operating Instruction, Diagnostic Instruction and Ignition Programmable Instruction, please follow the instructions described and make sure every function is operating correctly.

With the purchase of your new alarm you have included

CODE HOPPING 3 CHANNEL ANTENNA TRANSMITTER

The CODE HOPPING transmitter each time it is pressed will randomly transmit a different code. This prevents the thieves from using a code grabber to copy the code and re-transmitting the code to disarm the alarm system.

Note: To replace the batteries in the transmitter, remove the phillips head screws on the under side of the transmitter, gently raise the face cover from the bottom cover, take out old batteries and replace with new one ensuring correct polarity.

Never wet or submerge transmitter in water, as this will invalidate warranty

OPERATING INSTRUCTION

Operate your transmitter by following the instructions in Table 1.

Last door arming After ignition turned OFF arms within 20 seconds after all doors are closed Same response as active arming except doors will not lock
Valet With ignition ON, press CH-1 for 3 seconds LED turns ON solid
Deactive valet To repeat above procedure LED turns OFF
Auto re-arming Within 60 seconds of disarming if no entry joint is opened Same response as active arming
Trunk release (if fitted) Press ÑH-2 (works only when ignition is OFF)

Trigger alarm (when system is armed) Any sector is triggered after of 5 seconds exit delay
  • Alarm for 30 seconds

Deactivate alarm Press ÑH-1
  • Alarm stops
  • Same response as active disarm
Remote start (Only for automatic transmission vehicle, the gear shift must be in P position, emergency brake must be ON, & the hood must be closed)
# For vehicles equipped with manual transmission, please call your dealer for optional adaptor
Press CH-1&CH-2 together for 3 seconds Indicator flash 6 times to confirm remote start signal is received
If engine starts, (if fails the system will crank every 10 seconds once, total 6 times)
  • Siren emit 1 long chirp to confirm engine has started and signal light stay on for 10 minutes
  • After 1 minute of engine warm up, the air condition will be activate (if connected)
  • Total 10 minutes warm up, then engine will shut down
If engine fails to start the engine in 6 attempts, it will give up & enter arm mode Same response as active arm
Drive the vehicle at remote start period Press CH-1 to disarm (if system is in arm mode). First turn ignition key to ON position. Second release the emergency brake
  • Same response as active disarm
  • Siren chirp once
  • Indicator 1 flash to confirm the system has changed from auto warn up mode to manual operating mode
Anti-hijack
Note : To exit anti-hijack mode, you just pressCH-2 & CH-3 together for 3 seconds again in this 40 seconds duration, the system will reset, go back to disarm mode
Press CH-2&CH-3 together for 3 seconds 1st 20S
  • LED turn ON to confirm anti-hijack signal is received
2nd 20S
  • LED flash slowly
  • Siren warning chirps to warn anti-hijack function is working
3rd 20S
  • LED flash fast
  • Siren alarm
  • Indicator flash
  • Engine starter is disabled
Anti-hijack if you use external relay for fuel pump cut out (arm output #14)   Arm output 1 second escalates to disable fuel pump every 3 seconds
Note : if ignition is turned OFF, you can not start the vehicle anymore, you have to deactive anti-hijack.
Deactive anti-hijack (engine is disable) Press CH-2 & CH-3 together for 3 seconds
  • Siren one chirp to confirm the signal is received
  • Wait for 10 minutes, the system will disarm
  • The engine disable is released
  • Same response as active disarm
Panic Press CH-1 for 3 seconds (works only when ignition is OFF)
  • Alarm for 30 seconds
  • Indicator flash 30 seconds
  • Activate all door locks
Deactivate Panic Press CH-1 again Same response as active arming
Emergency reset (in case you lost transmitter) Open the door, wait for 3 seconds, turn ignition key the number of times you programmed you programmed (please refer to Programming Security Code of page 6)
  • Alarm for 30 seconds (if the number of time is correct)
  • After alarm, same response as active disarm but no chirps & signal light flash Attn. If you forget the number you programmed you must wait for 30 minutes to disarm.

SECTOR PROTECTION

The system is connected by wires linked to the vehicles door, optional sensors, & ignition key switch. Once the alarm is armed the systems intelligent management will monitor these sectors to protect your vehicle.

Please refer to the Protection Sector as follows:

A) Door Sector Protection

The door sector is very important sector, this protects unauthorized entry and also controls other functions such as last door auto arming, re-arming.

B) Optional sensor sector protection

The system provides additional sectors which optional sensors such as dual zone microwave detectors which can be added to the system.

C) Immobilization protection

This is final protection of the system if all other sectors an invalid. If the would be thief turns on the ignition switch, the alarm will trigger.

Note : If a sector received three triggers this sector will be switched off.
